Treasure hunting in Morocco

ABOUT ME

I seem to have spent most of my adult life with some kind of house project on the go.

We live in Surrey in a house that has been fixed up, renovated and added to over the last 15 years.  It is a late ‘60s neo-Georgian box with add ons and an ever evolving interior style like a classic rock star constantly reinventing herself with youthful and playful experimentation.  Despite a disastrous introduction to the housing market, where we found ourselves in the early ‘90s selling our studio flat at a loss with crippling 14.75% interest rates, we remained undaunted.

We have spent over 25 years tackling loft conversions and extensions, new kitchens and bathrooms and have knocked through walls and ceilings. Always on a budget. The interiors constantly changing but fulfilling a lifelong love of sourcing, modifying and doing up furniture and hunting down treasures and interiors as cheaply as possible.

This website is really just another home for me to combine my love of interiors with a passion for writing and to share ideas and tips for treasure hunting, sourcing and styling. I do hope that you will join in with your comments and suggestions below the blog posts. It is always lovely to have a conversation!

I live with a minimalist tidy husband, three grown up children and two very fluffy dogs.  Husband would be happiest in a white box with no stuff.  For me, who loves colour, texture, statement pieces, art and ‘interesting things’, our home is really my perpetual stealth mission to shoe-horn pink, pattern and ‘objects d’art’ into our home without him noticing.

I do have plans to sell one off pieces in the future, so watch this space for exciting developments!

Thank you for visiting :) and if you would like me to keep in touch and let you know when I publish my next blog post, please subscribe to my mailing list!
